Halloween Masks
Just a reminder: The library has Halloween masks that can be checked out.
All you need is a library card.
The masks can be found in the catalog under
Costume mask. Just type in costume mask in the
search bar and they should show up.
Masks check out in a plastic bag with the name of the mask and a bar code.
Please make sure you return the mask in the plastic bag it was checked out in.
The library has a total of 22 mask. You can also come in and ask the librarian if you can look at the masks in person.
First Day of Autumn
The library celebrated the first day of Autumn 2017 in two ways.
First the adults made fall colored paint dot painting. It’s something we have done before with the senior group we use to have and they loved it. This group also seemed to have fun!
The kids came to the library after school was out and make puffy paint and painted pumpkin magnets. The kids really seemed to like this craft!
Up next? Halloween crafts in October…
First Day of Autumn
The Eclipse
Along with many, many people world wide the library celebrated the Eclipse on Monday, August 21st.
The library had around 20 people [not bad for our little library] show up. We celebrated with our version of “eclipse” food. Moon pies, Sun Chips, Crescent sandwiches, Best Sandwich Dip on Earth and much more, it was all wonderful.
Everyone received a pair of eclipse glasses to watch the big event. As the clouds came and went we took our glasses off and on. We did not have a “Total” eclipse here, but it was pretty close. As to time got near to the our Total Eclipse we sat outside in lawn chairs and looked up at the sky. Everyone had a great time!
