Richmond Public Library had a float in the Richmond Fair Parade again this year. The theme for the parade this year was “Salute America”. The library chose “Richmond Library Salutes America’s Armed Forces” as the title of it’s float.
The Float featured a plane for the Air Force, a tank for the Army, a ship for the Navy and guns for the Marines. Our float won 1st place. Riding our float were area library children and Tina Harkins and Jacob Akes who both served time in Iraq and Kuwait.
