Thursday, January 29th was “Kansas Day”. To celebrate the library held a Kansas craft day. The kids were invited to come to the library and make “Kansas Sunflowers” or “Kansas Jayhawks” [blue & red of course].

Some kids made only a sunflower or Jayhawk and some decided to make both. The kids really had fun with these crafts. The sunflowers were made using each childs handprints which made them very unique to each child. Some of the kids [boys] decided to try and make their Jayhawks fly. They did not fly very well but the kids had fun.
