Saturday, December 13th was the annual Richmond Christmas Festival. This event usually starts with the lighting of the Christmas Tree, but as things do not always go as planned it was to windy to put the lights and decorations on the tree. The hope it that the tree will be lit before Christmas.

There was no tree lighting but there was still the food. Soup or Chili was served along with veggies, crackers, cheese and of course deserts! It may have been windy outside but still quite a few showed up for the Festival. And of course there was Santa! This year Santa read the Christmas Story to the kids and then they all got to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.
Wednesday, December 17th was the Story Hour “Photo Shoot”. The director takes pictures of each child so they can make an ornament for their Christmas Tree with a picture of them on it. Each ornament is also dated with the year. Kids and parents seem to really like making these.
Wednesday, December 17th was the annual Library Christmas party. The library board, library employees, members of the Friends of the library, City employees and council members were all invited. The library had a pretty good turn out for their party this year. There was lots of food, Christmas music playing and Friends to talk to . Everyone had a good time and left with a full belly.

Monday, December 22nd was the annual Library Christmas Craft Day. Kids in and around town were invited to the library to come to make Christmas Stars and Reindeer ornaments.
The library will be closed December 24th & 25th
