Masks & Edible Books?
Wednesday, June 20 the younger kids decorated masks at the library. The kids were given a choice between a face or butterfly, surprise the girls picked butterflies and the boys picked faces. The got to color and put stickers on their masks to make them their own.
Edible books, what are edible books?
Adults we challenged to take the title of a book and make something edible that depicts the title. The title could be something easy or hard, it was each persons choice, the only rule was there had to be a copy of the book with the edible item.

The younger kids will be painting ceramics on Wednesday, June 27th, the older kids will be getting Henna Tattoos [if they have a signed permission slip] on Thursday, June 28th.
The library will be closed Wednesday July 4th, older kids will do candle making Thursday, July 5 and adults will have a beading class on Friday, July 6. the younger kids will get to decorate and eat mini cupcakes and cake pops on Wednesday, July 11. The library will be closed during our local fair Thursday, July 12, Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14th.

Week One 2012 Summer Reading
We started off with a Seed Spitting contest on sign-up day.
The adults painted gourd birdhouses on June 8th.
The kids made Father’s Day crafts on June 13th. They got to choose from an origami shirt and tie, DAD key chain, DAD magnet or color a picture and make a Popsicle frame.
So far we have [41] 5th grade and under kids signed up, [11] 6th through 12 grade kids signed up and 10 adults. Looks like we have a pretty good group this year.
Up next? Decorating mask on June 20th for the kids and Edible books and June 22 for the adults.
The Friends of the Library will also be having a “Bake Sale” at the library on June 23rd.…
