Library Annual Open House
The Richmond Public Library will be having it’s annual “Open House” in honor of National Library Week on Tuesday, April 14th, which is also National Library workers Day. The “Open House’ will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 PM Refreshment will be served.…
March 2015 [what we did]
March is spring break time so of course we did something at the library that week.
First up we made paint dot paintings on March 18th, them put them on display and asked patron to tell us what they saw in the paintings.
Next up was Alphabet Food Club on March 19th. For March we made food that started with C, L or U, our main dish Cheesy potato soup.
on March 20th we had Cake Pops, what fun! we get to decorate and eat the food.
Up next? Easter craft day on Friday, April 3rd.…

The month is almost over and what have we been up to?
First the seniors made Valentine boxes and learned how to fold a dollar into a heart of the 12th.
Next up the adults made heart shaped bird feeders for Valentines day on the 13th.
Also on the 13th the kids made a Valentine snack, dipped pretzels into chocolate and made a Valentine box.
On the 19th we have our first Alphabet Food Club. This month the food started with the letters B, K or T.
And up last was Mobile Device Boot Camp on the 23rd. Patrons brought their devices in and we tried to help them learn more about them.

March is here and what do we have planned?
The kids have spring break in March so we are planning two events during that time.
First on March 18th the will be a spring craft day at 3:00
Second on March 20th the will be a spring food day- cake pops and cakesicles. Yum, yum
Alphabet food club will meet on March 2oth at 5:00. This month food needs to start with C, L or U.

Alphabet Club
The library is starting a new food club. Some of you remember “Geography club’ where we made food from different states and countries. Well now we are making food that starts with certain letters.
Each month we will have a main soup, chowder or stew provided by our “Friends” of the Library group. Each person will then bring an accompanying dish that starts with one of the three letters provided that month. At the moment we are trying a new time frame, our first meeting will be Thursday, February 19th at 5:00 PM.
This month the “Friends” will provide Broccoli Cheese Soup. The letters for the month are B, K or T.Â
Remember you can bring anything you want as long as it starts with the letters of the month. You can even rearrange to make it work. Say you have spinach bacon dip, you just call it bacon spinach dip, or grilled cheese? call it buttered grilled cheese.
