Spring Flowers
On Monday, March 19th kids were invited to the library to make spring flowers. The flowers were easy to make and the kids seemed to enjoy making them. There were about 16 people here and in a library this small that’s a lot. This was the first of our “Spring Break” week. Tomorrow we are showing the movie “The Learning Tree” for the adults. The movie will be shown at the United Methodist Church here in Richmond @ 2:00.

These books are about a ex MP who manages to somehow let trouble find him. He then uses his experience as an MP to get himself out and help lots of people along the way
February @ the library
The Richmond Public Library had a few things going on in the month of Februrary.
February is the month of Valentines day so in honor of this the library had a Valentine’s Day craft day. On Monday Feb. 12th kids were invited to come and make Valentines and tissue paper flowers.
The kids were told these Valentines were not for them, they had to give them away to someone. Their parents, grandparentes, teachers or friends.
On Wendesday, February 14th the teens were invited to come and make Chocolate to give away. This seems to be very popular with the kids.
Of coure they were allowed to eat some of the Chocolate.
Tuesday, Feburary 20th the adult ladies in town were invited to watch the “The Joys and Syrprises of Telling your Life story” video, provided by the Northeast Kansas Library System.
After the video the ladies enjoyed telling their own stories and showing some pictures to each other.
On top of all the librarians and some board memebers also attended a few workshops this month.
A Technology workshop in Lawrence on Tuesday,February 6th. A Interlibrary Loan workshop on Thursday, February 8th in Topeka. And the annual Summer Reading workshop in Feburary 21st in Topeka.
It’s been a very busy month at the library!…
