Chocolate Day!

On Thursday, February 11th the library held it’s annual “Chocolate Day”. Chocolate day is our way of celebrating Valentine’s Day at the library.

Each year we pick a day close to Valentine’s Day and then get things set up for the kids. There are chocolate molds, pretzels, marshmallows and different kinds of chocolate. this years flavors? White/vanilla, brown/chocolate, pink/watermelon, red/raspberry and tan/butterscotch.

The kids make chocolate suckers, lips and hearts. They dip pretzels and marshmallows. They had a great time.  Along with chocolate the kids decorated pink or red bags and make Valentine bookmarks.

We learned the difference between High tea and Afternoon tea.

Up next? The club has decided to “Celebrate” Haiti, it seemed a natural choice.…
