National Library Week (April 3 – 9, 2022) is a time to celebrate our nation’s libraries, library workers’ contributions and promote library use and support. First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and observed in libraries across the country each April.

To celebrate the Richmond Public Library will be having an “Open House” on Tuesday, April 5th from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.

Come in have a look around, see if we have updated or changed anything. Check out a book or movie, get a library card if you don’t have one. Have a snack and a drink on us.

Wednesday, April 6th is Library Giving day.

#LibraryGivingDay is a one-day fundraising event with the goal of encouraging people who depend on and enjoy public libraries to donate to their individual library system.
