March 2016 was a busy month. With Dr. Seuss Birthday, spring break, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter all being this month [plus a couple of other days too]. So.. What did we do?
First up was Dr. Seuss Birthday, we celebrated by making Lorax cookies, edible Cat-in-the-Hat Hats, a thing 1 and thing 2 craft and a Lorax craft.
We celebrated ” Nation Chip Day” on March 14th, they read some trivia then took a potato chip quiz and them they got to eat potato chips. Do you know what was the very first flavored potato chip? Those who came do now.
Next on March 16th we made “Spring” flowers, two different kids [one they put candy in]. These were really cute!
Up next was St. Patrick’s Day, what to do for that? The kids were out of school so we made St. Patrick’s day headbands.
The adults decorated St. Patrick’s Day mason jars. This craft took a while, since we used mod podge glue on them, but they came out really nice.
March 23rd we did two different things. First up the Story Time kids had their Easter Party in the morning. The the adults celebrated Nationals “Chip & Dip”Day. We had chips and different kinds of dip, what can I say it was good!
Easter craft day on Friday, March 25th [Good Friday]. The kids decorated jars then filled them with candy, they also had Easter paint sheets to paint here or take home. the kids like this craft!
Up Last? March 30th- The Story Time kids made monsters for the last story time in March.
