HAPPY BIRTHDAY KANSAS!…

It’s 2016 What do we have planned so far?

January is Kansas birthday, so on Friday, January 29th the library will be having two events. One for adults and one for kids.

The first will be at 12:00, patrons will be bringing foods that remind them of Kansas. Bring a dish of food that you think reminds you of Kansas or do some research and see what foods they use to eat in the olden days of Kansas. Just bring a dish and join us. Let’s see what everyone brings!

Also on January 29th [Kansas Birthday] the kids will be having popcorn and decorating Sunflower cupcakes after school at 4:00 PM.

February bring the Super Bowl, Presidents Day and Valentine’s Day. So this is what we have planned. Friday, February 5th we are inviting adults to come to the library and bring their favorite [or newly found] Super Bowl snack. It’s Super Bowl 50 let’s celebrate!

Friday, February 12th we will be Celebrating Valentine’s Day with our annual Chocolate day, the will be different kinds of chocolate and things to dip and molds to make. We will also be having a President quiz or puzzle in honor of President’s Day during Chocolate Day [the library is Closed President’s day it’s a Federal Holiday].

That’s all we know for sure right now. We do plan to do something during Spring Break in March and probably and Easter Craft too, no date and time set yet. Maybe their a good Food day in April we can do, just keep checking to see what we’re doing. Also check out our facebook page!…
