Do you have a Kansas Library Card?? They are FREE you know? You can get one from you local library. These card will allow patrons to access certain statewide databases from home or your local library.

The Kansas Library Card is a free service of the Kansas Library Network Board, the Kansas State Library, and the University of Kansas Medical Center.

To reiceve a Kansas Library Card you need to be a resident of the State of Kansas. That’s all. Your librarian will give you a personal identification number on your card and the date of your birth. Cardholders can login at www.kslc.org to access licensed reference and reserarch databases from thier computer at home, school, work, or other location.

Some of the databases available are Firstsearch- Full-image articles from over 4,000 electronic journals and articles from 9,000 full-text journals are linked to databases throughout the service.SIRS Discoverer -Reference database for young researchers which helps students in grades 1-9 develop their research, writing, language and computer skills.
Heritage Quest – A genealogy database including entire U.S. Federal Census 1790-1930 and much more. Custom Newspapers – A full text database of over 160 U.S. newspapers and English language foreign papers. Worldbook – Including every article in the 22 volume print edition and much more.

Now they have added Free Online Tutoring! www.HomeworkKansas.org is open everyday from 4 PM -11 PM. Tutoring in Math, Science, English and Social Studies for grades 4-12 & College intro. Use your Kansas Library Card to login. What more can you ask for Free online tutoring. Live Homework help.
So if you do not have a card go to your local library and request one, it’s that easy, just ask. The you can login from any computer that has internet access with your pin number and date of birth.
