This summer we had kids who read the most, adult who read the most, favorite colored picture, winners in the guess how many jars.. All these winner should be noted. So here is the list of library winners for the summer of 2006.
Damien Weber, Riley Roll and Justin Springer are the winners for most books read or listened to in the younger kids group. Chriss Moss is the winner in the teenage group for reading 50 books this summer. Darlene Springer is the adult who read the most books. She read over 60 books this summer.
This summer we had our second annual summer reading coloring contest. The kids are given pictures when they sign up for summer reading that have to do with the theme. If they want they can color them and enter them in the contest. The pictures are then taken to the community building during the Richmond Fair and the public votes on their favorite. Votes are tallied and we have the winners. This years winners were Kenzie Weber, Max Adams and Shelbie Morgan. Each winner gets a blue ribbon and a small prize. All entries recieve a ribbon.
We also had the guess how many contest this summer. Winner of the guess how many Mike & Ikes was Chloe La Duke, Winner of the guess how many Tongue Splashers was Kolby Goranson. Winner of guess how many pieces of bubble gum was Jake Kice. Winner of the gummi bears is still to be determined, since neither girl put their last name. We will check the hand writing and if that doenst work we may have to have a reguess on the gummi bears.
